AFTER SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAMS

We partner with local Towns & School districts to offer After School STEM Enrichment programs for Grades K-8.

Focus: Design, Creativity, Engineering concepts, Team work
One of our most popular after school programs. Machines and mechanisms come to life with LEGO bricks and help you discover how the real world works. Students will come across engineering principles such as gear trains, worm drives, and loading constraints. Mechanical and structural build-ups of the mechanisms that we see around us,will help students develop analytical skills that are necessary while designing and testing their creations.

Focus: Engineering, Creativity, Problem solving, Collaboration
Students become Engineers for a week. Each day will introduce them to a different theme - Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural design, Programming and Robotics. Create rockets and rovers, build bridges, learn how cars work and develop programs. Hands-on activities and projects that develop problem solving skills are the flavor of this after school program, and most importantly, all while having fun.

Come and explore the power of computer programming using state of the art tools and technology. Run with your imagination to create cool games, design characters and generate music with fun and animated activities. Students learn at their own pace in this course. Each student will be evaluated prior to assigning a competency level to maximize the program effectiveness.
This course is available for after school programs as well as summer camps.

Twist in the tale with forensic engineering. This time, the location is Ellington, and YOU are the investigators. Help solve the mysteries that have recently surrounded the town. In this after school program, students will encounter hidden clues, evidence and suspicious characters. They must use their scientific observations, sample examinations, analysis, lab work, testing, interviews, and field work to catch the culprit's. Returning students solve new mysteries.

This after school program is specially inspired by kids, who love to play Minecraft. Students will learn how to manipulate every aspect of the Minecraft world, and create their own mini-games. Students will explore and test their mods and games on the Minecraft server real time. Returning students will work on new projects per their skill level.
Requirements: Must have Minecraft game installed on computer.

This course is especially inspired by kids, who love to play Minecraft. Students will learn how to manipulate different aspects of a Minecraft world, and learn to create their own mini-games. In this after school program, students will participate in preventing disaster and save the village, all while learning to code and exploring artificial intelligence.

Focus: Scientific experiments, Collaboration, STEM foundation
Children will become scientists for a week and create funky experiments. Join the scientific journey to mind-blowing experiments - sunset in a tube, colorful volcano, magic ooze and much more. This very popular after school program is designed for children to develop an interest in science and experiments.

Focus: Technology, Creativity, Collaboration, Literature
Students will learn all the aspects of film-making - history, story-telling, composition, tech advancements, and genres. They will learn all the technicalities in making digital videos - the importance of lighting, audio and editing. The final release of this after school program will be creativity coming to life with a film production!

Focus: Technology, Coding, Creativity, Problem Solving
This after school program introduces children to programming and application design with a heavy focus on important skills like debugging, pair programming, and user testing. Learn how to design user interfaces, and write event-driven programs in Applications. Then design an app about a topic of your choosing. Goal will be for children to test and release their apps at the end of the course.

This is one of our most sought after courses. This program will cover everything robotics - starting from "what is a robot" to programming a robot, to creating your own. Learn robotic concepts, operating principles and algorithms. Students will learn machine and electronic foundation as they build multiple robots including LEGO Mindstorm EV3, Wonder league robots, Line Tracer, Battle Robot, and more. This after school program helps build skills for kids interested in Robotics competitions.
Returning students will work on new projects per their skill level.

Put your thinking camps on to enjoy this thrilling ride. You must think fast and apply scientific principles to win the fast-paced challenges that are sent your way. Physics is disguised in the form of this fun-filled program - use your critical thinking skills to explore technical subjects such as laws of conservation of energy and friction in this creative and competitive after school program.

Roblox is one of the fastest-growing game creation platforms today. With Roblox’s built-in editor, kids will create their own 3D worlds in this after school program. Kids can proudly publish, share, and play with friends the games that they create. Kids will learn from the best games out there and learn how to implement some of the same game play and strategies in their own creations.

Many kids dream of starting their own businesses, but most don’t know where to start. Join this program to learn every detail you need to know to become an entrepreneur. We will learn to brainstorm ideas, create marketing strategies, finances and how to make a profit. Kids will create their business plans, build the prototypes, and sell their products.

Take on to the challenge of exploring thrills of high altitudes with dynamic, hands-on flight & aerodynamics based activities. The journey includes hot air balloons, parachutes, gliders, planes, helicopters & rockets. Come learn how the physics concepts such energy, buoyancy & the forces work together to create the magic of flight! Follow the footsteps of the Wright Brothers & Da Vinci by creating flying machines!
Focus: Engineering, Creative thinking, Optimize solutions, Design process
Learn how to design structures, and integrate mechanical actions into structural designs. Students will explore the impact of various internal and external forces on structures by conducting the stability tests. The function and architecture of earthquake and wind resistant buildings and structures, such as roller coasters will be taught. The hands-on projects will include students modifying the design of some famous buildings in the world!

Exercise your brain and figure it out - that’s the highlight of this course. Students will participate in solving challenging math problems and puzzles. These challenges are intended to develop problem solving skills and prepare students for math competitions such as Math olympiad.

This program is all about creating, controlling and communicating the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). We will use a professional Droneology course to prepare our young pilots, covering the safety, laws and regulations and flight essentials. Students will learn to program and fly the drones, appreciating their real-world practical applications.
