STEM PROGRAMS
Our summer programs are designed for students entering Grades 1-8 (Ages 6-13)Students will be divided into age/skill appropriate groups. All the Programs with Extension 2, 3 or 4 will have new projects. There is no prerequisite to attend a program. For example: Students are welcome to enroll in Roblox Game Design – 4 even if they did not attend any of the previous sessions.
Programs will run in small groups of up to 5:1 students to instructor ratio.

Focus: Science, Engineering, Creativity, Problem solving, Collaboration
Students become Scientists & Engineers for a week. Each day will introduce them to a different theme - Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural design, Programming and Robotics. Create rockets, build bridges, learn how cars work and develop programs. Hands on activities and projects that develop problem solving skills are the flavor of this week, and most importantly, all while having fun.
Requirements: Material list of easily available household items will be provided to the enrolled students before the camp starts.

Focus: Coding, Creativity, Problem Solving, Persistence
Roblox is one of the fastest-growing game creation platforms today. With Roblox’s built-in editor, kids will create their own 3D worlds. Kids can proudly publish, share, and play with friends the games that they create. Kids will learn from the best games out there and learn how to implement some of the same gameplay and strategies in their own creations.
Requirements: PC or Mac computer. Chromebooks will not work.

Focus: Technology, Creativity, Collaboration, Problem Solving, Innovation
Coding is a lot of fun when it is in a galaxy far far away. Students will learn to program droids, build weapons and create their own vehicles and unique Star Wars games. Core computer science concepts of coding and programming will include sequencing and events. This course offers the best of both worlds - building core coding skills, while having fun with your favorite theme. The force invites you to join the right side.

Students will learn all the aspects of film-making - history, story-telling, composition, tech advancements, and genres. They will learn all the technicalities in making digital videos - the importance of lighting, audio and editing. The final release will be creativity coming to life with a video production!
Requirements: A portable device with camera (Works best with iPhone or iPad tablet to record and edit videos)

Focus: Business skills, Creative thinking, Optimize solutions
Many kids dream of starting their own businesses, but most don’t know where to start. Join this program to learn every detail you need to know to become an entrepreneur. We will learn to brainstorm ideas, create marketing strategies, finances and how to make a profit. Kids will create their business plans, build the prototypes, and sell their products.
Requirements: None.

Come and explore the power of computer programming using state of the art tools and technology. Run with your imagination, loops and conditional statements to create cool games, design characters and generate music with fun and animated activities. Kids will be able to release their games and fun projects all while learning to code.

Focus: Creativity, Collaboration, Programming, Problem solving
This course is specially inspired by kids, who love to play Minecraft. Students will learn how to manipulate every aspect of the Minecraft world, and create their own mini-games. Students will explore and test their mods and games on the minecraft server real time.
Requirements: PC or Mac computer. Having Minecraft installed on the computer will let children test their creations in real time.

This camp introduces children to programming and app design with a heavy focus on important skills like debugging, pair programming, and user testing. Learn how to design user interfaces and write event-driven programs in Applications. Then design an app about a topic of your choosing.
